- What is Egoscue?
- Pete Egoscue created the widely acclaimed Postural Therapy program based on a series of stretches and gentle exercises designed to restore full, natural function to muscles and joints. It treats chronic musculoskeletal pain without using drugs, surgery, or manipulation.
- I have had chronic pain for years and have tried everything under the sun. What is the success rate for Livefit’s Therapy Program?
- We have a 95% success rate. Please remember that our therapy program is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. By taking responsibility and committing yourself to the program, you are well on your way to a painfree active lifestyle.
- What do I need for my first appointment?
- Please wear clothes that are easy to move in. For the posture photographs, we recommend shorts and a light colored t-shirt or tank top. If you have xrays or mri’s, please bring the report to put in your file. We do not need to see the actual film. Be prepared to spend approximately 75 minutes at the studio for your first appointment. Follow-up appointments are approximately 60 minutes.
- What will my commitment be?
- By contacting our studio, you have taken the first step in actively making a conscious decision to take responsibility and ownership of your health. It is then your commitment to stick to the program, communicate with your therapist and achieve your goals.
- Do you accept insurance?
- LiveFit programs are considered non-medical. We do not accept any form of insurance.
- When should I start feeling a difference?
- You should expect to feel a change in your body before leaving your first visit. Our goal is to change the position of your frame and with that, symptoms are reduced. The key is to continue your program outside of the studio on a daily basis.
- How will I feel after a fitness class?
- You will leave class with a smile on your face and your body will feel alive and free! If it’s your first time, you may feel sore the next day but that won’t stop you from wanting more!
- What are the advanced fitness classes like?
- Our outdoor advanced fitness classes are a boot-camp style classes focusing on form and function. It starts off with an Egoscue style warm-up and then the real fun begins. We incorporate marine style obstacle courses that include crawling, jumping and rolling. We bring the fun back into working out.
- What are the beginner posture alignment classes like?
- These classes are less demanding than the advanced class. It focuses on gentle exercises and stretches to promote muscular balance and proper alignment.
- How do I know which class is for me?
- The only way to know is to try! If you feel you have certain limitations, speak with the instructor before class.
